Biography:

Antonio Fuertes (Madrid, 1940).

Antonio Fuertes was born in Madrid on May 4 1940, and since he was a child feels a very great inclination by the world of painting. This vocation will lead to entry (although still very young) as a painter at a workshop on advertising, painting the facades of several cinemas and theaters from Madrid.

Autodidact artist, his experience in these advertising workshops for thirty years, has been crucial in its formation and achievement of a total and absolute mastery of technique.

In 1982 Fuertes holds its first exhibition in the "Seleccion" Gallery of Toledo, a few months later in the Escorial and in 1983 conducted a major thematic exhibition at the Sephardic Museum of Toledo. Following the success of these exhibitions, and because of the great inclination the artist feels for exotic and oriental themes, the architect of the royal house of Saudi Arabia contect Fuertes. This way, Fuertes will become the painter of the Royal House of Saudi Arabia , making portraits of all their monarchs: King Fahd, King Faisal, King Abdulaziz.

After 1983 the painting of Fuertes acquires such relief will be on show in London permanently. In there where the princess of Oman faces the poetic painting of the artist and the impact will be so important that from 1985 Fuertes will become the painter of the Royal Family of the Sultanate of Oman.
